Slushies at Wawa.
So, I drink about one slushie a year. Tonight was the night. After a long day of packing, moving, and practicing, M. and I decided that making dinner would be time consuming and dumb. So we did what any good Philadelphians would do in our situation: we went to Wawa and used their glorious touch screens to order our very own hoagies.
For those unfamilair, Wawa is a chain of mini-marts in the greater Philadelphia area that has made their mark with delicious coffee and sandwiches that you order using a touch screen so you never actually have to talk to a real person. Honestly, how many times have we all had this happen:
You: "I'll have a cheese sub with American and Provolone, no mayo, no
onions, lettuce and tomato, and pickles."
Guy behind counter: "Huh?"
You: *sigh*"I'll have a cheese sub with American and Provolone, no mayo, no
onions, lettuce and tomato."
Guy: "cheddar and provolone?"
You: "No, American and Provolone."
Guy: "Extra mayo?"
You: "No, no Mayo."
Anyway, the touch screens alleviate that. And its great. So anyway, back to my slushie dilemma: I only drink about one slushie a year, and today, the vanilla coke flavored one looked DELICIOUS. And it was. Cool and refreshing, with a little zing from the carbonation. Only one problem, and that is that soda has caffeine. Lots of it, apparently, because despite waking up early, practicing, and moving all day, its nearly 3:30 in the morning and I'm WIDE AWAKE. I'm so awake that ranting on my blog seemed a good idea. At least with blogs, though, if you do something rash, you can always undo it. Hmm... too bad life doesn't work like that, I think I'd definitely undo some of the indiscretions of my early years.
So, moving still sucks. Its nearly a year to the day that my friends descended on my apartment in Madison and filled that truck. (I'd like to thank CMH and ERD again for their help! Amazing!) (A big shoutout to Spot for his help as well!) For those of you wondering why I am moving, well, there are a few reasons. I'm a little bored in Ardmore. Its a really lovely town, but as freelancing becomes more and more centered in Philly, its getting more and more tiresome to get in my car all the time. Also, with my job "down the shore" this summer, being closer to the Ben Franklin Bridge will make that long commute just a little more tolerable. So I've been moving my stuff to a storage unit for the time being, and while I'm "out and about" taking auditions this month, my home base is the boyfriend's place. Its ok, except for the mouse.... hell, I'll take the mouse over the squirrels that were living in the attic above my bed in Ardmore. Those bastards were loud and it sounded like they were bowling with walnuts up there!
Anyway, I can't sleep. And even with all this ranting, I don't think I'm any closer to sleep than I was when I started. Oh well, guess I'll just have to watch infomercials until I bore myself to sleep. Goodnight, everyone!
